Back in January we posted on the fact that model Heidi Klum and musician Seal were separated and planned on filing for divorce. At the time, everything seemed rather amicable between the two — but we did wonder if things would start to heat up when it came to child custody and other divorce settlement matters. As it turns out, the tables have indeed turned with news of Klum already in a new relationship with her bodyguard.
Seal and Klum were married for seven years and have been raising four children together. One of those children is from one of Klum’s previous relationships.
In January the separation was made public and in April Klum filed for divorce.
Recently, Seal brought up the fact that Klum was already in a relationship with her bodyguard. He also made mention that he wished she would have had more class and would have waited, pointing to the fact that the two are still legally married as a divorce settlement has not been reached.
Another report has also since came out stating that Seal plans on using Klum’s relationship as leverage in order to be granted more time with his children and a better divorce settlement.
When looking at the path Seal and Klum’s divorce has taken, the lesson to be learned for the average Missouri resident is that even if everything seems amicable in the beginning, feelings can become hurt and amicability can quickly turn into hostility.
This is why it’s a good idea for anyone going through a divorce to at the very least consult with an attorney. This way there is someone to turn to for legal options if the divorce turns sour.
